The Kersewell Resort is a predevelopment, 485-acre leisure site, including a farmhouse and outbuildings centrally located between Glasgow and Edinburgh on the edge of the Pentland Hills. Kersewell sits on a gentle sloping site with a southerly aspect and has natural flowing streams and river to enable an onsite lake.
The location could not be better; there are two major cosmopolitan European cities close by and hundreds of fascinating visitor attractions within 30 miles of the resort. A rich heritage is showcased at thousands of visitor sites and attractions, from stone circles and burial chambers to castles and battlegrounds to ruins and museums.
The planning permission on the development incorporates a wide selection of uses, highly focused on the 18 Hole Championship Golf Course.
Every aspect of the Kersewell project has paid particular attention to being ecologically sound and focuses on the preservation of the pristine land that is to be developed for the enjoyment of generations to come.
Kersewell enjoys the full support of its local council who are enthusiastic about making this vision a reality. The Kersewell team on the ground are all indigenous Scots who feel honoured and proud to showcase their local traditions of golf and hospitality at Kersewell.
The full outline planning permission of the 485-acre site has been extended until 2020, although we expect to start the development within the next 12 to 18 months, subject to funding.
This permission includes the development of the 18 Hole Championship Golf Course, a 5* hotel with multiple indoor leisure facilities, a full spa resort, a wide range of outdoor activities, together with 750 apartments and lodges and an estate of luxury country houses that will also form part of this development.
